The Dunlap Recreation Association provides baseball, softball, lacrosse and basketball programs for kids in the Dunlap, IL area.  DRA is organized by volunteers and is completely funded by fees, donations, concessions and sponsorships.

Travel Basketball Registration Now Open

Registration for the 2016 / 2017 Travel Basketball Season is now open.  Please register if you are interested in the travel program.  If you are planning to play in the house program you do not need to register for travel.  The travel program is competitive and there will be tryouts to determine which participants will be placed on the team roster.  The tryout information has been posted.  Do not pay your participation fee until your child has been placed on a team.

Travel Basketball Tryout Information

Boys and Girls Travel Basketball tryouts will be held Sunday October 16 at the high school. Times by grade are as follows:

 

GIRLS – AUXILIARY GYM

3rd/4th Grade   1:00-2:30pm

5th Grade        2:30-4:00pm

6th Grade        4:00-5:30pm

 

BOYS – MAIN GYM

3rd Grade        1:00-2:30pm

4th Grade        2:30-4:00pm

5th Grade        4:00-5:30pm

 

No uniform or shooting shirts from previous travel teams may be worn during tryouts.

 

** Tryouts are closed to parents.

 

 

The travel season runs late October through February. Sixth grade girls start after a short break from middle school ball. Games are held on weekends including 3-day weekends. Competition includes local programs up to approximately an hour away, with no overnight travel required. Family members of each player are expected to volunteer at all home games. Please contact the DRA boys or girls travel basketball directors for more information.
